Full-stack developers have earned the top spot in Indeed’s annual «Best Jobs» ranking in the US, thanks to a strong 10-year outlook and growing demand for these skilled professionals across multiple industries. What sets full-stack developers apart from other tech talent, says Slabinski, is that the job title has become a «catch-all phrase» companies use when merging multiple roles, such as frontend developer, backend and application support. specialist, in one.

«Increasingly, companies are hiring full-stack developers to downsize their general application, development, or web teams,» she adds. «They have a deep understanding of web applications – they can be versatile and work on a wide variety of projects, and can often find creative solutions to technical problems.»
