The Philadelphia Eagles released their third and final official injury report on Friday ahead of the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers.
No Eagles player has been listed with playing status.
Everyone on the 53-player roster is healthy enough to play.
This includes Avonte Maddox, which has been listed as limited for the past two days. Maddox was upgraded to full throttle on Friday. He is ready to play his first game since injuring his toe on Christmas Eve.
It remains to be seen how the Eagles will set up their secondary with Maddox back. He thinks he’ll take his place at nickel cornerback, which means CJ Gardner-Johnson will start playing it safe again. But how far are the Eagles still finding snaps for Reed Blankenship, who played well?
Maddox’s return means the Eagles will have all 22 starters in the roster. It’s a very nice luxury to have at this stage of this season. The Birds must take advantage of such a rare opportunity.
Lane Johnson was also able to practice in full on Friday after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. The Eagles were managing his groin injury to get him through to Sunday.
TJ Edwards a new addition to the practice report; he was restricted on Friday due to an ankle problem. But the fact that it was listed with no game status indicates that the problem is not too serious.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)
N / A
…
RESERVE/INJURED
BUT Derek Barnet
LB Shaun Bradley
TE Tyree Jackson
By Arryn Siposs
BY Janarius Robinson
DT Marlon Tuipulutu
Barnett is out for the year due to the nature of his ACL injury. Bradley is out for the year as players need to miss four games before returning from IR and he was placed on the roster with four games at most to play. Same for Robinson. Jackson is now eligible to be activated, but the team does not need a fourth tight end at this time. Siposs is eligible to be activated from IR but doesn’t look healthy enough yet…and Brett Kern played well last week. Tuipulotu is out for the year due to the nature of his knee injury.
RESERVED/PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO PERFORM
T/G Brett Toth
By not activating Toth during his 21-day training window, he will remain in reserve/PUP to complete the season.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)
The 49ers have ruled out Jimmy Garoppolo, as expected. Undefeated Brock Purdy will try to become the first rookie quarterback to win a conference championship game.
Christian McCaffrey is listed with no playing status after fully training on Friday. How close to 100% it is remains to be seen.
Elijah Mitchell, who led the 49ers in a rush last week, is officially doubtful of playing after failing to practice this week. Even if he’s able to play, it looks like he’s well below 100% right now. Not ideal for San Fran to have their two best backs bumped.
Backup cornerback Ambry Thomas, who ranks fourth on the 49ers in special teams tackles, is also doubtful to play after being restricted to practice all week.
Deebo Samuel and Charles Omenihu are notably listed without playing statuses after being restricted to training this week.
